Adults join Girl Scouting to  be of service to the girls and to the organization itself.  They offer their time, talents and skills in a variety of ways.  The rewards we receive come mainly from building our Girl Scouts into women of courage, confidence and character. Girl Scouts of Western Ohio recognizes its volunteers as its most valuable asset.  They, along with a dedicated staff, make the Girl Scout Organization work in our area.  Human beings need appreciation for the work that they do.  This could be a simple thank you for a job well done or a formal commendation for years of faithful service in a key position.  Such acknowledgement is a signal to the recipient that she or he is noticed and appreciated that she or he is recognized.
